Head of Leap Management Secretariat

Mr. Myles Ongoh is a professional social worker with over 20years of practice. Mr. Ongoh started his professional practice from the sub-national to the national levels where he worked in different capacities and on different social issues.

He rose through the ranks of social work practice from a Social Development Assistant through to a Deputy Director.

Richard Azina Nartey

Head of Payment

Richard Azina Nartey joined the LEAP team in September 2013 as Assistant to the Head of Operations Unit having previously worked as a Programme Officer on the National Social Protection Strategy at the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Gender Children and Social Protection.

Richard worked with Youth and Women Empowerment (CSO) as Youth Coordinator, Project Manager and Executive Director. Richard has an MPhil Social Work from University of Ghana and BSc Planning from KNUST

Achaligabe Colson

Head of Communications

Achaligabe Colson Akanbasiam (Mr) is the Head of Communications for the LEAP programme. He has over 15 years working experience in both governmental and non-governmental organisations. He holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Gender and Development (Norway) and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with Political Science (Ghana).

His work experiences and educational developments have built his expertise in the areas of social protection; cash transfer programming, microfinance, entrepreneurship and informal economy and gender issues in development.

Alhaji Lateef Mamudu

Internal Auditor

Alhaji Lateef Mamudu is a senior civil servant and has Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Tamale Polytechnic and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Ghana Institute Of Management And Public Administration (GIMPA).

Lateef started work with Ghana Post Company Limited Tamale in 2006 and in 2007 he got employed as Internal Auditor in the Office Of The President and rose through the ranks to become a Principal Internal Auditor.

Mrs Mabel Kumah

Accountant

My name is Mrs Mabel Kumah, the Accountant of the LEAP Programme. I have worked with Controller and Accountant General’s Department for over 15 years in various capacities in a couple of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) including the Treasury Headquarters.

I am a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). I also hold Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Bachelor of Commerce Degrees. I am married with children.

Thomas Boateng Quaison

Head of Monitoring and Evaluation

Thomas Boateng Quaison holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Information Studies from University of Ghana. He has undergone training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) including Evaluation of Social Programmes at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Administration (MPA) at the University of Ghana Business School and Project Management Professionals (PMP) at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

Gloria Garba

Head of Case Management

Gloria Garba is the Head of Case Management (i.e. the grievance and redress mechanism) of the LEAP Programme. She has years of experience in Ghana’s cash transfer programme. Before assuming the role of the Head of Case Management, she was the LEAP Programme Analyst. This role of an analyst did not only expose her to the intricate dynamics of the design and implementation of social protection and cash transfer programmes but also challenged her to examine the LEAP programme closely. .

Jeremiah Yanney

Head of MIS

Jeremiah Yanney is a City & Guilds of London Institute Certificate & Diploma holder in Microprocessors and Microcomputer Technology, Microsoft A+, Networking+ and (MCP) Microsoft Certified Professional, (MCSE) Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, FSK systems. He has specialized skills in Hardware, Networking, Systems administration, MIS consultancy, training, and a Certificate in Social protection (CSPS, University of Ghana).

Malik Abdul-Rahaman

Head of Operations

Mr. Abdul-Rahaman is a professional social worker with a Diploma in Social work from the School of Social Work, Accra. Then a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Education, Winneba and a Master of Science Degree in Management of Development (with specialization in Rural Development & Food Security) from the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. He also has a certificate in Project Management Professional (PMP®) from the Cambridge Center of Excellence, Accra.

Over the past decade, he has worked in both private and public sector particularly, the NGO sector for a considerable period. As a result, his professional experience and interest span across project management, policy planning, rural development, food security and social protection. He has attended various workshops and seminars both in Ghana and in Europe.
